“Let’s just run an A/B test.”
Why 99takes exists
99takes is a tool inside Claude that tests landing pages, ads and other marketing copy on personas from your audience before anything goes live. It's a product of Tappla UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Germany, built by Robert Blessing and Tobias Ruetz.
We come from B2B marketing. For years we managed Google Ads accounts and kept seeing the same pattern.
Teams spend hours arguing about ad copy. Sales wants features, marketing wants benefits, the CEO wants vision. What comes out is a compromise nobody really believes in.
And when nobody can agree, someone says:
“Let’s just A/B test it.”
On pages with plenty of traffic, that's a good way to decide. In B2B, traffic is often scarce and expensive, so it takes a long time before a test gives you a reliable result. Do the math for your own page: how many visitors does the test need, and how many weeks does that take on your budget? Until then, half your visitors see the weaker version.
What we were missing
We've never had anything against A/B tests. What we were missing was a way to answer questions like these before launch:
- Who is this copy actually written for, and does it land with exactly those people?
- Where do readers get stuck, and what are they missing?
- Which of our claims do competitors make too?
- Once the page went live, was our last call right?
So we built the tool we wish we'd had.
What we built
99takes started in B2B. Today the simulation also works with consumers or voters as the audience. You can use it yourself in Claude, or we can do it for you.
Buyer simulation in Claude
Personas from your audience read your ads and landing pages, score each version and explain why. A run includes the whole audience, typically 10 to 14 personas, and each one also reads with the other personas’ jobs in mind. On request, 99takes also writes challenger versions that compete with your copy. The jury runs on Claude; 99takes has no language model of its own.
We do it for you
If you'd rather hand off the work, 99takes delivers the buyer research, your own audience as personas, and a report with recommendations. You can book it as a fixed-price study for €990 or as an ongoing retainer for from €1,500 a month, both net. We agree on the schedule with you.
Why “99takes”?
Because one perspective isn't enough. Each persona from your audience reads your ad or landing page from their own situation and reaches their own verdict. Together, those verdicts cover more angles than a single opinion in a meeting, even when it's the opinion of the most senior person in the room.
The name stands for many takes on the same copy. An audience typically has 10 to 14 personas, up to 24, who differ clearly even when they share the same role. A run includes all of them.
What 99takes is not
A simulation doesn't measure the market. It tells you in advance how personas from your audience read your copy, what makes them hesitate and which version they prefer. Whether that holds up in the market only becomes clear once you go live. That's why you report results back. They build the hit rate per jury, which is published once there are ten conclusive results. The buyer simulation page explains how a run works, and the pricing page shows what it costs.
Test your next piece of copy before it goes live.
