Claude for marketing: what it does on its own and what a connector adds
Claude writes drafts, sorts material and gives feedback on copy. Through connectors it can also use tools from other providers. 99takes is such a tool for marketing: with it Claude checks copy and pages against personas from your audience, has challenger versions written and compares your claims with competitors. Here is where each task leads.

What Claude does for marketing on its own
- Write and rewrite drafts, such as headlines, ads, emails or sections of a page.
- Sort material: summarise and group notes from customer conversations, reviews or surveys.
- Give feedback on copy, find unclear passages, anticipate objections and compare versions.
- One limit: Language models tend to agree with their users. A study by Anthropic calls this “sycophancy” and finds it in several widely used assistants. So ask for problems, not for approval, and check whether the criticism also comes when you do not ask for it.
- What is missing is evidence-based knowledge of your buyers, measured values for your page and a fixed standard that makes two runs comparable.
How to check a page with Claude alone: check a landing page with Claude; for ads: test ad copy with AI.
What a connector is
A connector links Claude to tools and data sources from other providers. Custom connectors run as a remote server over the Model Context Protocol (MCP). According to Anthropic they are available on the Free, Pro, Max, Team and Enterprise plans; the free plan allows one custom connector. On Team and Enterprise plans, owners add it, and then each member connects it themselves.
Anthropic advises connecting Claude only to servers from providers you trust. Before connecting, check who is behind a connector and what it does with your data.
